Don't worry gph ,by Sunday afternoon I suspect I will be back to my old miserable, pessimistic self. I hate these feelings of hope and optimism. Very unsettling they are.!

About time Johnny, they've been in discussions for the last 6 weeks or more. Supposedly we were pushing for a sale, but Forest wanted only a loan, looks like we settled on a higher loan fee, with less to pay if they want to sign him permanently.

Barcelona were never interested, you can have that for free. Just his agent, who seems to be as big a scumbag an agent as a player could wish for, you only have to look at his client list.

I am a bit sad about Quina, I thought he was something special and Barca were even interested.
Perhaps Norman is right and he is an idiot. Oxford really has disappointed me, after his start against Arsenal 3 years ago I thought he was going to be great, but 3 managers now have had a look and he has just gone backwards if anything.

"a toad to nowhere"

Not surprising.

A horse or motorbike is a far better choice for transportation.

"But who knows perhaps Sanchez will prove to be a decent option on the actual pitch?"

That's far too optimistic for the real Alf.

What have you done with him?

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
There could still be some outgoings, either on loan or sold abroad: loans _ Byram to Forest, Oxford back to Germany, possibly Snodgrass to Villa though on balance I would expect him to stay. Obiang could still be off to Sampdoria.

I think I I'm right in saying that it's only Quina's agent who thinks he's a wonder kid these days.
His downward trajectory continues

Now be interested to see which of the academy/fringe players MP intends to retain and develop. With Quina, Haksabanovich and Browne out that leaves (add your own) Oxford, Byram, Holland, Cullen, Martinez.

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
How we ended last season versus start of this below. For me the bench shows the real increase on quality of the squad and options and it will take time to work out best combos I guess. The starting 11 while better ( think Antonio will start due to Yarmo injury) is harder to say all weaknesses have been addressed but we also have to take in the fact we have a very experienced and successful manager and coaching team, tactics, fitness. Assuming Rice gets the nod, its still that area of the team with the most questions but better ball retention and us providing much more for the opposition to think about may alleviate the pressure ( Antonio, WIlshire's probing and passing and Anderson could prove a handful). Liverpool will soon expose weaknesses so in that sense a good test.

I agree with most that other than Sanchez the recruitment was excellent on paper. But who knows perhaps Sanchez will prove to be a decent option on the actual pitch?

EVERTON LAST GAME:
-----------------Adrian;
----- Rice, Ogbonna, Cresswell;
Zabaleta, Noble (c), Kouyate, Masuaku;
-------- Joao Mario, Lanzini,
--------------Arnautovic

Subs: Hart, Evra, Collins, Obiang, Fernandes, Carroll, Chicharito

TEAM/SQUAD FOR LIVERPOOL
---------------Adrian;
Fredericks, Ogbonna, Diop, CresswellorArfur?); , ------------ Noble (c), Rice
---- Antonio , Wilshire, Anderson
-------------Arnautovic
Subs: Fabianski, Balbuena, Perez, Obiang, Chicharito, Sanchez, Yarmolenko ,

From what I know Lille had accepted our bid of £20m and the player was due to agree personal terms and then it all went quiet. It was even being reported we had signed him.

From what I gather Lille went cold and the players agent then went cold and for some reason contact was lost.

Could be that Lille suddenly realised that potentially they could have a £50m - £60m player next season and so chose to hold their cards.

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
he isnt that kind of lad.

he just wants whats hes worth for his standing

there are the likes of quina ..oxford earning more than him..

i personally think both quina and Oxford are dogshit.

Oxford had it all there for him on a platter..two yrs later he is on a toad to nowhere..what a waste.
attitude..and character..and good old fashioned graft...
both have none of those things
